Sasal Ventures Book an intro call

About

Built around the close, not the deadline.

Sasal Ventures is a registered BAS agent practice working with Australian owner-run businesses.

Most bookkeeping problems are timing problems. Work gets recorded in a rush before a lodgement date, questions get answered by assumption, and the reports that come out the other end are technically complete and practically useless. We run the other way round: reconcile continuously, ask when unsure, and treat the deadline as the last possible date rather than the plan.

How we operate

Three rules we do not bend.

01

Reconciled beats finished

A set of books can be complete and still wrong. Control accounts are agreed back to supporting schedules every month, so when we say a period is done we mean it has been proved rather than filled in.

02

A query beats a correction

When a transaction is ambiguous we ask you about it instead of picking the likeliest account. It costs a message in the week it happens and saves an unpicking exercise at year end.

03

Deadlines are internal

We work to our own date ahead of the ATO's. If something needs a decision or a document from you, you hear about it while there is still room to move — not on the afternoon it is due.

Who this suits

Owners who want to look at the numbers.

This works best for businesses turning over enough that the bookkeeping has become a real job — a payroll to run, a BAS every quarter, decisions that turn on margin rather than instinct. If you want the books filed and never discussed, we are probably more involved than you need.

Registration and scope

What we are, and what we are not.

BAS services are regulated in Australia. Only an agent registered with the Tax Practitioners Board may provide them for a fee, which is a line worth knowing about before you hand your lodgements to anyone.

Registration Registered BAS Agent, Tax Practitioners Board.
Insurance Professional indemnity cover maintained to the standard the Board requires of registered agents.
Platform Xero — the ledger we implement, migrate to and work in daily.
Jurisdiction Australian entities only: Australian awards, superannuation and ATO obligations.

Deliberately not us

  • Income tax returns — those stay with your tax agent, and we hand them a reconciled year-end pack
  • Audit and assurance engagements
  • Financial product, investment or insurance advice — we are not licensed to give it
  • Self-managed super fund administration

A short call costs nothing and usually settles it either way within twenty minutes.
