Services
The whole finance function, or one part of it.
Eight services. Take them together as a monthly engagement, or pick up the single thing that keeps falling behind.
01 · Bookkeeping
The ledger is never a guess.
Bank feeds are matched as transactions land rather than in a scramble at quarter end. Coding follows a chart of accounts we agreed with you, receipts are attached to the transactions they belong to, and the month is formally closed on a date you can put in a calendar.
- Bank, credit card and merchant feeds reconciled
- Accounts payable and receivable kept current
- Receipts captured and attached to transactions
- Month-end close on a fixed date
- Queries raised as questions, never coded as guesses
02 · Payroll
People paid right, on the day.
Pay runs processed each cycle with award rates, leave accruals and superannuation applied correctly, and Single Touch Payroll reported to the ATO on time. Super is prepared for each quarter so it clears before the deadline rather than on it.
- Weekly, fortnightly or monthly pay runs
- Leave, entitlements and termination calculations
- Single Touch Payroll reporting each cycle
- Superannuation prepared and lodged quarterly
- Payment summaries and end-of-year finalisation
03 · BAS preparation
Prepared, reviewed, lodged.
We are a registered BAS agent, so your activity statements are prepared and lodged under our registration rather than handed back to you to file. Lodging electronically through an agent also carries the ATO's concessional dates on three of the four quarters.
- GST reconciled against the ledger before anything is lodged
- PAYG withholding and instalments checked each quarter
- Prepared, reviewed and lodged under our agent registration
- Concessional lodgement dates where they apply
- A copy of the working papers, every quarter
04 · Financial statements
Reports on a schedule you can plan around.
Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash position, produced to the same timetable every month so you are comparing like with like. Each set comes with a short written note on what moved and why, because a report nobody reads is not a report.
- Monthly profit and loss with prior-period comparison
- Balance sheet reconciled to supporting schedules
- Cash position and working capital summary
- A written note on what changed and why
- Year-end pack ready for your tax agent
05 · Business advisory
What the numbers are telling you.
A standing conversation rather than a once-a-year review. We work through margin by product or job, pricing, overhead creep and the decisions in front of you — hiring, equipment, taking on a bigger contract — using your own figures rather than industry averages.
- Margin analysis by product, job or division
- Pricing and cost recovery review
- Break-even and capacity modelling
- Scenario work before a hire or a large purchase
- A regular meeting, not an annual one
06 · Cash flow forecasting
Thirteen weeks ahead of the bank balance.
A rolling thirteen-week forecast built from your actual receivables, payables, payroll cycle and lodgement dates. It shows where the tight weeks are while there is still time to do something about them, and it is updated as the ledger moves rather than rebuilt from scratch each quarter.
- Rolling thirteen-week cash forecast
- Built from real receivables and payables, not averages
- Payroll, superannuation and BAS timed into the model
- Best, expected and worst case scenarios
- Updated as the ledger updates
07 · Xero implementation
A clean file from day one.
Setup and migration handled as its own project, with a cutover date and a reconciliation at the end of it. Opening balances are proved back to your previous system, the chart of accounts is built around how you trade, and your team gets a handover session rather than a login and good luck.
- Migration from spreadsheets, MYOB or another ledger
- Opening balances proved back to the old system
- Chart of accounts designed around your operations
- Bank feeds, bank rules and recurring transactions
- Payroll and Single Touch Payroll configured and tested
- Handover training for the people who will use it
08 · Budgeting
A budget that survives contact with the year.
An annual budget broken into monthly targets and loaded into your ledger, so every month's report shows actual against budget without anyone rebuilding a spreadsheet. Where the variance is real we revise, rather than quietly ignoring the plan from March onwards.
- Annual budget built bottom-up from your own history
- Broken into monthly targets and loaded into Xero
- Actual against budget in every monthly report
- Variance explained, not just reported
- Reforecast at the half year

Not sure which of these you need?
Most people start with a review. We look at the file, then tell you which of the eight is actually worth paying for.
