Approach
The month has a shape.
Nothing here waits for the deadline. This is what the cycle looks like once we are running.
The cycle
What a month looks like.
Reconciliation happens continuously; the close is a checkpoint rather than the whole job. That is the difference between books that are current and books that are merely finished.

Lodging electronically through a registered agent carries a concession on three of the four quarters. Q2 keeps the standard date, which already allows for the Christmas shutdown. Dates shown are the general quarterly deadlines and can differ for monthly reporters or where the ATO has issued you a different date. We work to an internal deadline ahead of both.
Your file, your data
Access you can withdraw.
The subscription is in your name and the file stays yours. We work under our own named user, which means you can see exactly what we changed and revoke access at any time without touching your own login.
- Your Xero subscription, in your business name
- We work under a named user, so the audit trail shows who did what
- Access revocable by you at any time, without notice
- Bank feeds authorised by you directly with your bank — we never hold your banking credentials
- Documents exchanged inside the file rather than as email attachments
- Records retained for the period the ATO requires
Questions
The ones we get asked first.
Does this replace my accountant?
No. We keep the books, run payroll and prepare and lodge your activity statements. Your tax agent still handles the income tax return — and gets a reconciled year-end pack from us instead of a shoebox, which usually makes that engagement cheaper rather than more expensive.
Do I have to be on Xero?
It is what we implement and know deepest, and it is what we would move you to. If you are on something else, say so at the review stage — we will tell you honestly whether migrating is worth the disruption for a business your size.
My books are months behind. Is that a problem?
It is the most common reason people call. Catch-up work is scoped and quoted separately as a one-off, so you can see what clearing the backlog costs before committing to anything ongoing.
How does pricing work?
A fixed monthly fee, set from transaction volume, payroll headcount and which services you take, so the invoice does not move because a month was busy. Catch-up and implementation work is quoted separately up front. You get the number after the review, not before it.
Can you actually lodge the BAS, or just prepare it?
Lodge it. We are a registered BAS agent, so activity statements go in under our registration — which is also what makes the ATO's concessional lodgement dates available on three of the four quarters.
What happens if we stop working together?
The file is already yours, so there is nothing to hand back. We remove our user access, provide the working papers for any period we handled, and tell your incoming bookkeeper where things stand.
Next step
Start with the review.
We look at the file as it stands and tell you what we would change, before either of us commits to anything.
